The GWR 7800 Class locomotive was hauling a Festive Season Service from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth on the Severn Valley Railway. The tunnel, between Kidderminster and Bewdley, was built by GWR in 1876/1877 and is 480 yards long. The loco was built at Swindon Works and completed in 1938.
